- Kirsten, Bill, Kreah & Heath Cheesman
What were some of your highlights while at Chaminade?
Highlights… hmmm…. parties at Kim’s house, causing havoc, going to Malibu with the gang, Carpinteria at Easter time, enjoying my friends, etc.
What are some highlights since high school?
Graduating from college, starting a teaching career in special education, traveling around the world, getting married and starting a family.
Where did you go to college?
Pierce, SDSU and National University
What did you study?
Child Development and Special Education
Where are you living and what are you generally doing these days?
We live in Encinitas and we enjoy going to the beach, hanging out with the kids and all the families, etc.
Are you married?
4 years to Bill Cheesman.
Wait…this is unique. We have married classmates! What’s the story behind that?
O.K., so Billy and I both went to Pierce College straight from Chaminade. We started to date in the Spring of 1989. That went on and off for a couple of years. At this point, I transferred to SDSU and Bill went to UCSB. We went our separate ways and got back together sometime in 1993. We have been together ever since and then got married in March 2004. That’s our story in a nutshell.
Any kids? If so, how many? Names & ages?
We have 2. Kreah (a little over 2 1/2 years) and Heath (15 months).
Who do you still see from our class?
Deana Darrah (1989), Traci Carter, Kim Egerstrom, Bill Cheesman, Dave Morrison, Brian Dreyfus, Anna Tulino, Dom Costa, Steve Srott, Sean Warner, Doug Marconet, Matt Terzian, Scott Chandler, Jonas Escalera, Traci Sunderland, Shannon (Havert) Campuzano, Chris Dickinson, Pat Hill, Tanya Mallean, Steve Marshall, and Will Simpson.
I’ve seen Chris Noonan, Karin Hayes, Kris Denzler, Jessica Krekorian, Suzi Hendricks, Brady Mitchell(1989), and Sybille Canthal.
What is your best memory from our Chaminade days?
Party at Doug Kavulich’s house when Brian Dreyfus’ car got stuck in the mud and the boys all drank too much Jack…too funny. Trying to mend all the broken items at Kim’s house after a party. Sophomore Welcome Week.
What are you looking forward to the most about the Reunion?
Seeing everyone and catching up….

How did you land such a catch in Bill Cheesman? He is quite the specimen with enough torso for 2 men and a small child.
Is Kreah asking for more Foster’s Freeze? Admit it, she is. Tell her that I have more ice cream for her when I see her.
