[I've been] married since ’96 to Courtney Winters. Two kids, both girls: Seandra (7) and Quinlyn (4). I live up near the beach in Ventura, been there since 2000. I’m a scientist at Amgen, working in Research. I play drums in 3 bands and still surf as much as possible.

That’s it in a super-brief nutshell. Attached is a picture of the family from a recent trip to Santa Cruz island.

Well, the reunion is getting closer and closer so I figured it’s time to send in my update. After highschool I went to UCSD. I studied in Costa Rica duirng my Junior year and then graduated with a BA in Sociology in 1992.

After college, I drove across country with a college friend to Holyoke, Massachusetts. I served as a VISTA volunteer in a multi-service agency for teen mothers for about a year and a half. I then moved to Princeton, New Jersey to live closer to the man who was to become my husband. We spent 5 years there while he finsihed graduate school. I worked in social services and then in social policy research.

In March of 2000 we moved to our current location, Cincinnati, OH. We were married on December 29, 2000 and welcomed our first child, Cassandra, on December 29th, 2002.

We are expecting our second child on October 10th. For this reason, I will not be attending the reunion.

I laughed so hard when I read the part in Gabbi’s blog about “over-sharing.” I definitely have the tendency to do the same thing so I’ll do my best to keep it relatively concise.

Let’s see…I don’t think too many people would remember me from high school. I was a drama geek and way too shy but I do have many fond memories of good ol’ Chami. Among the highlights were Mrs. Rhode and Drama class, the Spring Musicals…oh, and lunch on the Senior Lawn with the other Chaminade “thespians”.

Since 1988? Well, I’ve trained in way too many colleges and acting schools, and held way too many “day” jobs for less than 5 minutes to recall (insert book here), but theatre has been great to me. I’ve been working as a resident director, choreographer, and musical theatre instructor for a mid-size theatre in the area for the last 11 years as well as being a part of a touring female musical group called The Chantilly Sisters.

I always kinda thought I’d live my life doing that, but 5 years ago I met a truly inspiring guy and within the last year, we got married, traveled through Europe on our honeymoon, and I gave birth to our daughter Violet, the most beautiful little girl in the world (in my completely unbiased opinion).

I keep in touch with Catherine Woillard and Ingrid (von Berger) Hummel from high school. They are two of my closest friends and in fact they were both “maids of honor” in my wedding. Here we are…

I’m definitely looking forward to the reunion. I’ve become sort of addicted to the blog and Facebook. I like reading up on who’s doing what and who has kept in touch with whom. Since having my daughter, the concept of time is way more relevant. I’m looking forward to seeing people and catching up with their lives…and of course reminiscing about how high and permed our hair was back in ’88, and how much fun it was to dance in big circles (with our shoes and purses in the middle) to “White Lines” in the Bob Hope Center.

Well, it’s official, I’m coming to the reunion! I’ve just sent in my RSVP (better late than never).

Aah, my 1988 classmates, there’s so much I could tell you about the past 20 years, but Anna (Suarez) Tulino warned me about “over-sharing”. When I asked her if I should write about _______ or _________, she demurely responded, “I don’t think you need to tell people that.” So I won’t. I will tell you that I’m married with three kids. That was unexpected. Not that the kids were unexpected, but that I would get married and actually want kids. We live in Los Angeles in an area called Hancock Park. I studied acting at UC Irvine and really gave it my all in Hollywood for a long time, but never really got the satisfaction that I was looking for. I met my husband and got married in 1998. We have Cooper (7), Greer (5), and Chase (a girl - 21 months).

We own Wonderland Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment center. Ironic, considering most of my fondest Chaminade memories include drugs and alcohol! Who knows, maybe some of you will want to come for a visit after the reunion! I’ll give you the alumni rate!

But seriously, I’m really excited to see you all, having not had the guts to go to any of the other reunions. I still keep in touch with a few of the gals, and every summer I’ve been getting together with Anna, Sybille (Canthal) Walther, Kris (Denzler) Bruce, Jessica (Krekorian) Voelker, and Tracy (Sunderland) Lagasse and all of our kids. The past two years Zettie, Monica Dimitri, Jenny (Cannon) Richter, Suzi (Hendricks) Sandoval and Jeni (Birgel) Snee joined our summer-with-kids-insanity- mini-reunion.

To be honest, I have thought about high school a lot over the years (although the Chaminade alumni crew never received a check) and I truly cherished my time there.

WOW! So neat to see so many updates on all the former Class of ‘88 crew! Have had many changes since the 10-year reunion. I am a proud mom of 2 great boys - Christopher age 10 and Alexander age 7. I still keep in touch with a few Chami grad’s including Leigh (Kennedy) Bague, Tanya Mallean, Suzanne Bernel, Kelly (Fleury) Reichenberger and Jill (Durham) Stultz.

I graduated with a BA in Business Economics from UCSB and am currently working in the commercial real estate field in Signal Hill, CA.

Hello my Fellow Eagles. Anna Suarez Tulino’s blog entry has inspired me to update you on my life and encourage you to attend the reunion.

It has been 20 years since we graduated high school and I would love to see how you all look these days. I look nothing like I did in high school, which sucks because I thought I was HOT….. Now, I am bald, fat and have 3 chins. In high school, I weighed 160 pounds and was a speedy Free Safety on the football team. Fast forward 20 years, replace one of those numbers with a 2, and HERE I AM. Now, I would be an Offensive Lineman for any football team I played for (No offense to any past lineman). That’s OK though, I am comfortable in my own “stretched marked” skin.

I will update you briefly with my life, so hopefully, if you go to the reunion, I won’t have to echo the same boring story over and over again about my life, and I can just concentrate on having FUN with you all. People who hated me can show up and say, “Ha, look at Doug now, there is a God. Payback is a B*****.” Those of you who liked me, especially you ladies out there, you know who you are, can only rejoice that you never ended up with the likes of Doug Marconet.

I graduated from Loyola Marymount with a degree in Psychology. I parlayed that major, thanks to the help of Jen Birgel Snee, to secure a job as an Avid Video Editor at the TV show, Access Hollywood. I work at NBC Studios in Burbank, CA. Channel 4 in Los Angeles. Check your local listings. I have been editing at Access Hollywood for 11 years. The show is going strong and starting our 13th season. What an incredible run….

I tricked a woman to marry me in 2000 and have been happily married for 8 years. Mr. Stork was kind enough to deliver me on two separate occasions 2 beautiful girls, Jordyn - 5 years old and Elizabeth - 2 years old. They will grow up to be beautiful girls. This is God’s way of paying me back for my high schools days. I will have to deal with 15 years old boys, who were just like me, wanting to “date”. I am in trouble!!

I keep in touch with Alex Rigolizzo, Gary Haase and Brian Dreyfus. They are all married and have children in their lives. They should all be at the reunion as well. They look exactly like they did in high school and haven’t aged one bit. Really. I’m not lying. For Reals….

Hopefully, this “new Hip Hop artist” will soon be at a theatre or TV near you. Stay tuned. Yes, that is me and those are my 2 children. My real wife is in the chicken suit, not the buxom blonde.

I hope to see you all at the reunion. If you are on the fence about going, I hope you decide to come. You won’t have this opportunity to see everyone in one room again for the rest of your life, so show up. Let’s have fun. You can either laugh at me or with me, I don’t care, let’s just LAUGH again!!!!

Meanwhile, we all have that box at home — the one with all the random crap from high school and college. You know, the one that your parents pawned off on you? Dig into it, take a trip down memory lane and send a couple of bit of Class of ‘88 memorabilia to Anna. She and others will be putting together a nice display at the Reunion. Email her for details.

In addition, we plan to donate one of the largest class gifts Chaminade has ever seen: $10,000 — but we’re only about a quarter way there. Whether or not you plan to attend the Reunion, please consider a donation. There is a spot on the invitation/RSVP to enter an amount; we suggest $88 but it can be more or less if you choose. Moreover, we’d like as close to 100% participation as possible. And remember, there’s a $1,200 matching challenge from Juan Alva — if we can all get to $8,800, he’ll donate the extra $1,200 to get us to $10,000.

A quick update on my life and then hopefully others will follow suit.

I played volleyball in college and graduated from a Regis University in Denver, CO. I have since lived back in LA, San Francisco and now we reside in San Diego – which we love.

I have been married for almost 9 years and have 2 daughters, Sophia 6 and Emily 5.

Prior to having kids I was in sales and traveled a lot. Since kids I have stayed home with them, and have love doing that. I will probably get back out in the work place since my youngest is starting Kindergarten in two weeks.

I have kept in touch with quite a few Chaminade grads. I live one mile from Kirstin Huber and Bill Cheesman and one mile in the other direction Traci Sunderland Lagasse. Traci and Kirstin both helped me stuff and get the Reunion invites out the door – they complained the entire time but we had fun talking about all you all!! Just Kidding!!

My daughter Sophia is in the same school and grade as Traci’s twin boys – above is their Kindergarten graduation picture from June. Traci wants me to make sure you know that my daughter is SUPER tall and that her boys are not SUPER short. My husband is 6’5” and Sophia is on track to be over 6 feet tall. My husband disagrees but he is in denial.

My daughters are huge dancers which is very foreign to me – but fun. Below is a picture from one of their recitals.

I hope to see you at the Reunion!! it should be a fun time. I saw Zettie last Friday for the first time in almost 18 years and it was as if we never skipped a beat. It was super fun and I hope that is a precursor to what the Reunion will be like.
